Coffee Boga and Tamaru Antiques

Cafe Boga was established back when Takayama had only a few cafes; the current proprietor is the second-generation owner.
The name “Boga” comes from the name of a cafe located in Inokashira Park in Kichijoji that the current owner was fond of during college. It means “to be fashionable” or “in vogue” in Spanish.
This cafe aims to provide customers with a relaxing space to unwind over a cup of coffee. We carefully brew coffee by using the classic method of using cloth filters, and offer just one type of blended coffee. We don’t know much about third-wave coffee, but our coffee is slightly strong with a subdued touch, which we are sure will satisfy customers.
The interior is designed in a nostalgic, Showa-style atmosphere, and has enough space for 25 seats. Customers can enjoy coffee while listening to music or having a chat.
We welcome locals as well as tourists visiting Takayama.
